Terms for booking and providing services on Paxos Retreats
These Services Terms apply to services booked on Paxos Retreats, both to guests who book them and to the hosts who provide them. Paxos Retreats is operated by Kuero Hospitality ΙΚΕ, a company incorporated in Greece ("we", "us"). They add to the Paxos Retreats Terms of Service, which continue to apply. For services, these Services Terms prevail.
The following pages form part of these Services Terms: the Cancellation Policies for Services, the Host Cancellation Policy for Services, the Standards and Requirements for Services and the Privacy Policy. For hosts, the Service Provider Agreement they sign also applies and prevails over these Services Terms.
Part A — For everyone
1. What Paxos Retreats does
1.1 Paxos Retreats is an online marketplace. Independent local professionals ("hosts") list services such as private chefs, massage, spa treatments, hair styling, make up, personal training, yoga and Pilates, childcare, grocery restocking and private transfers. Guests book and pay for them online.
1.2 Each service is provided by its host, who is a professional acting as a trader. The contract for a service is between the guest and the host. We are not a party to it. We do not provide, organise or supervise the services, and we do not employ or direct the hosts or the people who work with them.
1.3 We collect the price from the guest on the host's behalf. When the guest pays us, the guest has paid the host. The host issues the guest the receipt or invoice for the service.
1.4 Services are a separate product from stays. A service booking is never linked to a stay, and you can book a service with or without a stay on Paxos Retreats. Services are available on Paxos.
2. Accounts
You need a Paxos Retreats account to book or list a service. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into contracts.
Part B — For guests
3. Booking a service
3.1 Instant book. Some services are confirmed straight away when you pay.
3.2 Request to book. For other services you send a request. The host has 24 hours to accept, decline or suggest another time. You are charged only after the host accepts, and you then have 24 hours to pay; we hold the time for you during those 24 hours. If the host suggests another time, you can book it within 24 hours with one tap, but that time is not held for you, so it may be booked by someone else in the meantime. The time is also not held while your request is pending.
3.3 Your booking is confirmed when you have paid in full. You will receive a confirmation by email and in your trips.
3.4 Each offering has a maximum number of guests. Make sure the details you give — number of guests, children's ages, address, arrival details — are accurate.
4. Price and payment
4.1 The price shown at checkout is the full price of the service, including taxes and any extras you choose (for example luggage or child seats on a transfer). There is no guest service fee on service bookings. For groceries, the price is the host's fee for the restocking service and does not include the items (see 4.5).
4.2 You pay the full price when you book, or for a request when the host accepts, by card only.
4.3 Hosts may offer discounts. If more than one applies, only the largest one applies.
4.4 Pay only through Paxos Retreats. Do not pay a host directly for a booked service: we cannot help you with payments made outside the platform. The only exception is the cost of the items for groceries.
4.5 Groceries. When you book grocery restocking, you pay the host's fee for the service through Paxos Retreats when you book. You pay for the items directly to the host on arrival, at the prices on the shop receipts, which the host gives you. Agree your shopping list with the host through the platform's messages. The purchase of the items is between you and the host.
5. Changing a booking
5.1 You can request a change of date, start time or number of guests and, for transfers, of luggage or child seats. The host has 24 hours to accept or decline. If the host declines or does not respond, your booking stays as it was.
5.2 If the change increases the price, you pay the difference within 24 hours, otherwise the change lapses. If it reduces the price (for example fewer guests), the difference is refunded under the cancellation policy of the service, without a cancellation fee.
5.3 A different offering or route is not a change: you cancel under the cancellation policy and book again.
5.4 New time suggested by the host. The host may suggest a new date and start time for your confirmed booking. Everything else stays the same: the same offering, number of guests and price, with nothing more to pay and no refund. You choose: accept or decline within 24 hours, or before the original start time if that is sooner. The suggested time is not held for you meanwhile. If you accept, your booking moves to the new time. If you decline or do not answer, your booking stays as it was; if the host then cancels, you get a full refund. If you accept and later cancel, you get the higher of the two refunds under the cancellation policy of the service, calculated from the original start time and from the new one, minus the 3% cancellation fee if that refund is a full refund.
6. Cancelling a booking
6.1 Each service has one cancellation policy — Flexible, Moderate or Strict — shown before you book. If you cancel and get a full refund, a cancellation fee of 3% of the booking total, for card and handling costs, is deducted from it. No fee is charged on a partial refund. See the Cancellation Policies for Services.
6.2 If the host cancels, for any reason, you always get a full refund, without any fee. This includes cases where the service cannot take place because of an event beyond your and the host's control, such as weather that makes the service unsafe.
6.3 The 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply where the law excludes it, in particular for leisure services booked for a specific date or period and for passenger transport.
7. During the service
7.1 Be available at the agreed time and place, provide safe access and any facilities stated in the listing, and treat the host and their team with respect.
7.2 A booking for childcare must be made by a parent or legal guardian of the child, or a person they authorise, who gives the host the information needed to care for the child safely.
7.3 Only share health information (for example allergies or injuries) that the host needs for your booking. It is shared only with that host.
7.4 If the service did not take place or was very different from what you booked, tell us through the platform within 24 hours of the start time. We will review it with the host and, where justified, refund you in whole or in part.
8. Reviews
You can review a service once per booking, within 14 days after it. Reviews are published immediately and must be honest, relevant and respectful. Only guests whose booking took place can leave a review, so every review relates to a real booking. Hosts can reply publicly once.
9. Hosts' licences and qualifications
Each host declares that they, and everyone who works with them, hold the licences, permits, qualifications and insurance the law requires for their services, and is solely responsible for this. We review each host's application, but we do not verify their licences, qualifications or insurance.
Part C — For hosts
10. Applying and going live
10.1 You apply per category in your host account, with your profile, qualifications, years of experience, service area, offerings, photos and online profiles. Uploading documents is optional. You can use the same account for stays and services.
10.2 Our team reviews your application against the Standards and Requirements for Services and approves or rejects it. We always tell you the reason for a rejection.
10.3 Once approved, you sign the Service Provider Agreement once, and your service goes live. A new category later needs a new application, but no new agreement.
10.4 Your online profiles are seen only by our team for the review and are never shown publicly.
11. Keeping your listing accurate
11.1 After approval, your changes to offerings, prices, availability, vehicles, routes, photos and texts go live without review. You are responsible for keeping all your information accurate and lawful at all times. We may check any service at any time.
11.2 You do not need to upload documents. You must hold, and keep in force, every licence, permit, registration, qualification and insurance the law requires for your services, and we may ask you for evidence at any time.
12. Prices, booking rules and discounts
12.1 You set the price of each offering per guest (with an optional minimum per booking) or as a fixed price per group, and its maximum number of guests. Private transfers are priced per route and vehicle type, with optional luggage fees and child seats.
12.2 You set the minimum notice (default 24 hours), the booking window (default 12 months) and the break between bookings (default 30 minutes), and you choose instant book or request to book.
12.3 You can switch on a limited-time discount (first 90 days), an early-bird discount (bookings made more than 2 weeks ahead) and a large-group discount. Only the largest applies.
12.4 Never charge a guest anything for a booked service outside Paxos Retreats. The only exception is the cost of the items for groceries, at the prices on the shop receipts.
13. Commission, payouts and invoices
13.1 For each booking you pay a commission, a percentage of the amount you keep for the booking, VAT included. The default is 10%; the rate for each service is shown in your Extranet and on each booking. Guests pay no service fee.
13.2 We pay you the day after the service, less the commission, to an account in your own legal name.
13.3 We issue you a tax document for our commission. You issue the guest the receipt or invoice for the service, and you are responsible for the VAT and taxes on it.
13.4 We may report information about you and your earnings to the tax authorities under Directive (EU) 2021/514 (DAC7).
14. Cancellations by hosts
If you cancel a confirmed booking, the guest gets a full refund and a fee of 3% of the booking total is deducted from your next payout, unless we waive it. The time stays blocked in your calendar and an automatic note appears among your reviews. See the Host Cancellation Policy for Services.
15. Measures we may take
15.1 We may hide or remove a service, or restrict or suspend your account, if you break these terms, the Standards and Requirements for Services or your Service Provider Agreement, if your information is inaccurate or missing, if you do not hold a licence, permit or insurance the law requires, after repeated cancellations or justified guest complaints, or to protect guests.
15.2 We will tell you what we decided and why, at the latest when the measure takes effect. You can respond, and send us any complaint, through the Extranet.
16. How services are ranked
Services are shown in search results mainly according to their relevance to the guest's search (area, date, availability and category), guest reviews and the quality and completeness of the listing. The commission rate does not affect ranking.
Part D — General
17. Liability
17.1 Hosts are solely responsible for their services and for the people who work with them.
17.2 Our liability towards guests is set out in the Terms of Service. Nothing in these Services Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.
18. Switching services off
We may stop offering services, entirely or for a category, with at least 30 days' notice to hosts unless the law or an authority requires otherwise. New bookings then stop. Confirmed bookings go ahead, and payouts and documents continue normally.
19. Changes to these terms
We may change these Services Terms. Hosts are notified at least 30 days before a change takes effect, unless the law or an authority requires a shorter period. Changes do not affect bookings already confirmed.
20. Governing law
These Services Terms are governed by Greek law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and may bring proceedings in its courts. Otherwise, the courts of Corfu have jurisdiction.
